Team Beer'd Presents the 1st Second Annual Classics Race Series

Here's the info about the greatest race series ever (next to the Tour da Chicago, of course).

So here is some info:
Points will be given out two ways.
1. The most obvious way; by your placing in each race. this will be just like TdC. First place gets 100 and then it goes down from there.
2. The second way is by picking up the bonus points. These will change with each race but could be; getting certain items, being the first to a location, doing a side task, contributing to the delinquency or non-sobriety of Kessler, ect. Some will be a required part of each race, some will not.

It will be up to you to decide which is more important. Sometimes winning the war is more important then winning a battle.

There will be five races. Each Sunday in October and on Halloween. I can tell you that races will involve a closed course race, a revamped fakenger, a comprehension checkpoint race, an open course race and a Halloween race*.

The move to Sunday is allowing use to do a few things. First races can be longer, which allows us to do more. Second, Sundays work better for more people. Third, we have work on Wednesday and Thursday but not on Sunday.

The safety question: The move to sunday was part of it but how the race's are being structured is the bigger(and in my view, the more important) part. So let me make it clear. You do not need to be the fastest person to win overall. It could help, but figuring out a good strategy will be more important.

I suggest everyone friend Team Beer'd on myspace. We will be posting starting locations and times there.

Thank you.

*not necessarily in that order(except for Halloween) and one might change.

Holy Glowing Grips!

Sweet. I stole the image from Knight Bike Co.
These would look sweet on my tarck bike, but even better on my BMX bike.

Last weekend was really nice.
Friday I got some sweet Knuckle Tattoos, courtesy of Robin Amer.
Saturday, after being let off the hook at work, I got some drinks with Skidmore (who is a proud owner of a Granny Gear hat) and road around some.
I ended up at Braley's going away party for a little while, then headed home to get up early.
On Sunday, Chris J, Ben VC, and I drove up to Kettle Moraine for some trail time.
Starting the day with a newly discovered Dunkin Donuts was the right idea.
We met up with Dan and Erin who camped out the night before.
Yesterday wrecked me.

New Header and More Info About the Hats.

I got bored at work and I whipped that little puppy up.

And now for something completely different; The construction of our hats!

8 Paneled, dual ply, recycled cotton keeps your head super comfy, even under a helmet.
The inside fabric cooridinates with the outer layer and has a band to absorb sweat and keep your noggin feelin' awesome and lookin' good all day.  We cannot assure the degree of hat hair you may or may not receive while using our product.

All hats are handmade and can be custom ordered*.

Some hats are reversible, others are not.

All of our hats are one size fits most. So if you have a slightly larger skull than the rest of us, let us know. we will be glad to help you out.

*Custom orders will cost extra. If necessary, the fabric will also need to be provided by the customer. Custom options coming soon.

Here's a shot of one of the hats in, uh... "action".
